Over 22,000 apply for AUCET

In all, 22,052 applications have been received for the Andhra University Common Entrance Test (AUCET)-2015 for admission into PG programmes of Andhra University and Dr. Ambedkar University (Srikakulam).



While this figure is the same as that of the previous year’s, the number of applications for AU Engineering Entrance Test (AUEET)-2015, through which admissions are made into the six-year integrated dual degree engineering course and twinning programmes, has come down from 4,500 the previous year to 2,420 this year.


AUCET-2015 will be held on May 5 and 6 at 17 centres located in Visakhapatnam, Srikakulam, Vizianagaram, Kakinada, Rajahmundry, Eluru, Bhimavaram, Vijayawada, Guntur, and Amalapuram. Tests will be held in life sciences, physical sciences, mathematical sciences, chemical sciences, geology, humanities and social sciences, English, and Telugu. It will be held at three centres in Visakhapatnam and one each in Kakinada and Vijayawada from 2.30 p.m. to 4 p.m. on May 5.



Hall-tickets



Director of AU Directorate of Admissions O. Aniel Kumar said that hall-tickets could be downloaded from Friday from the AU websites:www.audoa.in and www.andhrauniversity. edu.in/doa.


Physically challenged candidates who require a scribe have to inform the Chief Superintendent of the centre at least one day in advance.


Candidates should be present at the centre one hour before the test commences and they will not be allowed once the examination begins.


It will be held on May 5 and 6 at 17 centres
