Public interaction of NEP held at Senapati - Nagaland

After successfully gathering information, suggestions and grievances of the village and at the block level through the public interaction programmes under the New Education Policy (NEP), the district level public interaction was held today at Indoor stadium, Senapati DHQs.

Organized by DC/Chairperson District Education Board, Senapati, the four hour interaction dwelt on different issues relevant to the education system and ways to improvised them with new and better ideas.
Attended by a galaxy of both local MLAs, ADC members, State Education officials, District Administration, stakeholders and school teachers, the marathon session deliberated on different issues with many district elected members and eminent educationists joining the interaction.

Issues related to girl child education, teacher’s attendance, vocational and non-vocational educational, infrastructure of schools and grievances faced by students were also discussed thoroughly.

The prominent figures who attended the interaction included both MLAs L Dikho and Dr V Alexander Pao, ADC Chairman ML Markson, and Vice Chairman John Hingba, ADC members, P Vaiphei (IAS), Commissioner-Higher Education, C Arthur W (IAS), Chairman CoHSEM & Director, Higher Education, OSD Higher Education Oliver, Deputy Commissioner Jacintha Lazarus, IAS, ADC CEO Rang Peter, MCS, District Level officers, SDOs, private school Principals, teachers, Government teachers, NPO, SDSA, SDWA, KSTC, village leaders, ZEO officials and intellectuals.

The consultation was conducted under the theme, ‘Ensuring Learning Outcomes in Elementary Education, Extending Outreach of Secondary and Senior Secondary Education, Strengthening of Vocational Education, Reforming school Examination Systems, Revamping Teachers Education for Quality Teacher, Accelerating Rural Literacy with Special Emphasis on Women, SCs, STs and Minorities through Adult Education and National Open Schooling System, Promotion of Information and Communication Technology System in School and Adult Education, New Knowledge, Pedagogies and Approaches for Teaching of Science, Maths and Technology in School Education to Improve Learning Outcome of Education, School Standards, School Assessment and Management System, Enabling Inclusive Education-Education of SCs, STs, Minorities and Children with Special Needs, Promotion of Language, Comprehensive Education-Ethics, Physical education, Arts and Craft, Life, Focus on Child Health.’
