Hari Prabhu Sanstha donates for bionic limbs - JAMMU

The management of Hari Prabhu Sanstha, Nagrota Gujaru (Billawar) has donated an amount of Rs 25000 to JRC HOME for Handicapped, Udheywala, Jammu as its contribution for the fitment of bionic upper limbs to girl child Khannu Devi, an inmate of Home.


The cheque was handed over to Chhatrapal, Secretary JRC Home by I.D. Soni on behalf of the HPS at a function held in the Home here today.


Soni said that the amount has been contributed personally by the members of management committee. He assured some more donations from HPS for this noble cause.



Baby Khannu was born with only one leg and having merely upper half of both arms. Despite her being physically challenged, she won a Gold Medal in National Games for Handicapped held at Ajmer in December 2013. JRC Home has taken the responsibility to rehabilitate Khannu and procure bionic arms for her so that she could lead a respectable and purposeful life. The Home has raised a fund amounting Rs. 2.10 lakh to meet the total expenses of Rs 6 lakh for the fitment of limbs to the severely handicapped girl child. Those present on this occasion included Jagmohan Gupta, S.C.Gupta, Subhash Chander, Dev Kumar Gupta and Neena Rishi.
